biographyPoetry entered my life when I was in high school. I loved Emily Dickenson, Robert Frost, and yes some of Edgar Allen Poe. I only wrote poems in class then and not for much more. It was years later I found myself at Lake Powell. The surroundings moved my soul, and I wrote my poem in a matter of minutes. I enjoy the feeling it brings me to see my work on paper. I have a lot to explore in this area and much to learn. I just write what comes to mind, and I need to work on keeping it a bit more simple. I also hope for my readers to feel something when they read my poetry. I want to share it now when I can appreciate it too. Not keep it locked away somewhere and have it read when I'm no longer in this life. Who knows, maybe some day I will have my poems read in a high school setting too.
